How cashback works

Understand how cashback offers are tracked and when you should use them.

How tracking works

Cashback works by tracking your purchase through a link or offer page so a commission can be returned to you after the retailer confirms the order. That means the saving is often real, but it can take time to appear and may depend on whether cookies, ad blockers or checkout changes interrupt the tracking.

Treat cashback as a bonus

The best cashback offers are the ones you are already planning to use. Because cashback is usually paid later, it should be treated as an extra bonus rather than the main reason to buy. If two offers are close, compare the total value: a stronger voucher code now may be better than a slightly larger cashback percentage later.

Protect the tracking

To get the most from cashback, read the terms carefully, finish the purchase in one session and avoid switching tabs or devices mid-checkout. Those small steps improve the chance that the reward tracks correctly and turns into a genuine saving.
